Thomas D. Harper has been a trial attorney in Atlanta, Georgia for over 33 years. Tom has served as lead or sole counsel in over 250 contested jury trials and has more than 50 reported Appellate decisions. In 1984, Tom founded the firm of Harper & Cooper with Gary M. Cooper.  He subsequently served until 2010 as Managing Partner of Harper, Waldon & Craig, a thirteen lawyer firm that numbered among its clients the nation's largest automobile liability insurer.
Tom has recently become a sole practitioner, focusing upon appellate practice, mediation, and the representation of Plaintiffs in personal injury litigation. Tom is a 1977 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was elected to The Order of the Coif. After serving as a law clerk to The Honorable Thomas O. Marshall of the Supreme Court of Georgia and to The Honorable Harold L. Murphy of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Tom was designated a Law Assistant Emeritus to the Supreme Court of Georgia in 1982.
